Pressure Poem by tyler eisner

Pressure

You see me as I really am
Not how I wish I was seen
Why do I wish to cloak myself from all those around me?

How did you see through my cape,
See past the shroud, and under the mask,
I placed there for my safety?

To see mine self before the world
Naked but integrity and fear
Fake the veil i wish still hid me
Can she see my weakness show through?

She's seen it all, the pain, the hurt
That was done to me, that I've done to others
Before I cover up again
She pushed it aside and hugged just me
'it doesn’t matter' I trust you still, I love you still
But still I hide behind the curtain
The smallest tear she made, shows glimmers
Of light.
