Pretty And Blonde Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Pretty And Blonde

Rating: 5.0

The sacred sunrise
Sparkles mysteriously
In her child-like eyes,
And the boulevard
Is in bloom
With window-box flowers
Kissing and dancing
In beguiling innocence.

She will meet me
Past the drug store of destiny,
Pretty and blonde
Like a 1940’s
Hollywood glamour dream.

My heart ignites
Delirious fires
Like a summer field ablaze
In the unrelenting August heat.

Everyday a new love poem
Conjures Shakespeare and Petrarch
From ancient mystical graves
To guide my soul along amorous paths.

Your conflation of Hollywood dreams with sacred love is very moving. - Will
