Pretty Doll And Honest Guy Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Pretty Doll And Honest Guy

Shall we always ride together?
Just think back to days gone by.
When pleasures of love never faltered
Speak to your heart where memories lie.

A motor car ride you would suggest...
Out of town, to the countryside.
'Oh yes' I would say with a little jest
Down to the shore with the calling tide.

So, shall we always ride together
Across the moors where warblers fly?
Let us be good friends forever.
One pretty Doll and One honest Guy.
