Pretty Little Flower

Pretty little flower
In a pretty vase
I this little hour
On you gaze.

In a pretty kitchen
On a pretty sill
You this little hour
Give me fill.

With your little petals
In a pretty style
You this little hour
In me rise

Pretty little hatred
And a pretty bile.
I this little hour
You despise.

Poem started out well. The last stanza does not match the rest. Also, in the 3rd stanza, second line: pretty style is a little vague. Needs more description. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

Black is the beauty of the brightest day,
The golden belle of heaven's eternal fire,
