Priceless Poem by Kelvin Owusu

Priceless

Rating: 5.0

I see the pain that you try to hide
Underneath a mask of make-up
why do you immerse yourself in this disguise?
A great actress you are
But you could never make your eyes lie

Mona Lisa smile, he gave you the world
But love was what he could not provide
Priceless, yet he treats you like an expense slave girl
I know every night you silently cry
Why is it that you’re unable to say goodbye
Money or a man won’t bring you happiness
It won’t cure your loneliness, not when your love deprived

You deserve the world and much more
I don't just see your worth I know what you’re worth
And it’s more than money can buy so therefore
Why do you let him play with your mind (throw you around)
Like a toy he just bought?
You're a Queen but he's no King
Don't let him treat you like a whore he pays to bed
You're priceless so don't let him or anybody
Put a price on your head

Well, I'll drink to that lovely tribute to womankind - not many men think as you do Kelvin, so you are priceless.
