Prison Life
It's waiting on letters, When you're doing time
And your family won't write, Or send you a dime
It's waiting on visits, That will never take place
From friends or loved ones, Who forget your face
It's hearing them lie, And say that they're trying
Making you promises, But you know that they're lying
It's making plans with someone, That you thought you knew
But their plans suddenly change, And they don't include you
It's hearing them say, Just how much they care
But in your time of need, They are never there
It's hearing them promise, And it goes straight to your head
But when push comes to shove, They leave you for dead
It's feelings and love, Honor and pride
Pain and emotions, And hurting inside
It's expressing yourself, To your loved ones and friends
But they can't feel your pain, Because you're stuck in the pen
It's calling and hearing, There's a block on the phone
But you must maintain, Because life goes on
It's really messed up, When you're doing time
But that's prison life, Out of sight... Out of mind.
everyone makes mistakes and its ok to do so i know what you have to go through my uncle was there and i had to watch him cry everyday we saw him but you are out and happy
Wow...That's an great poem! You can feel what's going on and it has great flow. If I may ask, did you or a someone you know been to prison. I'm just asking cause you describe this very well and it shows lots of emotiion. Great job and i love it! =)

it makes me sad bcuz my brother's 19 1/2 and he just got outta jail and i bet its a hard place to go! ! !
an emotional and painful scenes..............intense write...
babe...hard i know but look at the life around u and what u got right now...and know that unlike any other girl you were with i will be one to stay with u...and wait no matter what happens...know that i am alwayz here to talk...but again nice strong poem...love u dont forget that.
