Prisoner Inside Poem by Cody Moore

Prisoner Inside

Rating: 5.0

Melt floor, blow away walls
For you have embodied and captured
The screaming soul that is me
Even sunlight cast grey eyes on me
And warmth is all removed
Stone floor, stone walls, cell for
My forbidden soul
My life captured, time passes me by
While I sit not knowing
Knowing not of day or of night
Time has no bearing here
I am a prisoner inside myself

We are all prisoners. Yes I agree. But we are also the cell and the jailer. Good work.
