Prisoner Me Poem by jandy porras

Prisoner Me

I am a prisoner…
Who feels I’m not free.
Who talks to nobody.
Who prefers to sit in solitary.

I am a prisoner…
Inside this tiny room
Smaller than a palm
Tighter than a grip.

I am a prisoner…
Inside this strong jail
Harder than any metal
Lighter than any paper.

I am prisoner…
Who knows nobody
A stranger to everyone
An alien to this world

For I am a prisoner
Inside my tiny heart and mind
A person with low self-esteem
Afraid to explore a thing.
