Problems Are Like Plants Poem by Daya Nandan

Problems are like plants in so many ways.
They can grow bigger in years, months or even days,
Be it problems in love, academics, health or wealth,
They will grow sneakily in time with their mighty stealth,

Even if you run away from them they will surely grow,
Unless efforts to solve them you decide to show,
If left unattended for long they often grow stronger,
And efforts to solve them will surely take much longer,

So do not procrastinate and attend to them fast,
For the more you delay solving them, the longer they will last,
And if you want to solve problems you should aim at its roots,
Not the tip of its branches nor its growing shoots,

Because if you destroy the branches they will surely grow back,
Effort to slow it down, not the most effective attack,
Treating the symptoms of problems is often an exercise in futility,
A temporary solution that will only lead to a short lived tranquility,

Find the causes for those are the roots that keeps problems alive,
Eliminate them swiftly and completely so they can no longer survive,
Attack problems with strategies made of the best solutions combined,
And soon enough they will no longer be a burden on your mind!
