Proceeding For Discussion With Lord Siva! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Last week one fine evening,
It was a rainy day, but evening!

It was about 5 o’ clock,
The sky was getting dark!

The dark clouds in the sky were hovering,
The rain was likely to pour with lightning!

I wanted to go out for giving books for binding!
The cloud till I return shouldn't be raining!

I thought of a poem Poet Thiruvalluvar
Saying “Virtuous woman who is faithful

To the spouse and dutiful
May not even pray the almighty;

“But, If she says, Oh’ Rain!
You must pour, it will rain! ”

I thought why not I use the same powers,
To stop the rain till I return, just for two hours!

My wife prayed and the rain stopped,
the prayer didn't go in vain!

The rain God was very courteous!
I wanted to try again the same trick with pious!

Next week, the very same evening,
I wanted to go for a concert happening!

I asked my wife to pray Rain God
For not raining till I return, that may be good!

She prayed and I attended concert at six,
Returned home 9 P.M in heavy rain; hence I vex!

My wife was very much worried,
She asked Rain God, ‘What happened? ’

He said, ‘Sorry devotee, I was very busy!
I was proceeding for discussion with Lord Siva, in hurry! (Continued)
