Progress Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Progress

Modern know-how makes the difficult
A breeze
Allowing people to overcome infirmities
And disease

Extending vision of those who have dimmed
eyes
Taking dreams beyond the limits of the
skies

We have come so far with improvements
galore
Educated minds curiously continue to
explore

The marvels that mankind has developed
truly amaze
The rewards gained with knowledge receive
praise

The wonders of ingenuity have been etched in
granite
Now to find a way to secure the future of the
planet

Your love of Ogden Nash is showing. He would have loved this one. Thank you for pointing me to him in your bio. I had forgotten how many good playfult ones he wrote. Tom
