Promise Poem by Unintelligible Susurration

Promise

If you really would
do as you say
you would not
miss me.

You would not leave
anywhere
in the first place.
Promises need
to be kept
even if they're not spoken.

Perhaps you never
were really missing me
or promising anything.
You were glad
to see me drive away.
