Promises. Who Cares? Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Promises. Who Cares?

Why on earth would she do that?
Especially to me?
Just who does she think she is?

She used to be able to control me,
Shout jump and I would answer ‘how high’,
Well not any more!

Everything’s changed!
And because of who?
HER! ! !

Why she changed everything I honestly cant put into words,
I cant even write a poem of how it feels,
My anger is uncontrollable!
Why should I even bother?
What is the point in anything?

I’ve made promises,
And now I’ve broke promises,
And do you want to know a secret?
I honestly don’t care!

Judge me,
Hate me,
Again, I don’t care,
She changed me,
I’m nasty, always frowning, shame,

But again, I dont care.
