Prophetic Poet Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Prophetic Poet

My path is strewn
with obstacles,
thorny cactuses,
some with flowers,
ripe black wild berries
karanda koli
Carissa carandas L.
in thorny shrubs.

Truth is like
a guiding light
in the inner corner
of my heart.
I shall reach the summit
climbing through the cliffs
enjoying the cactus flowers, orchids
and beauty of the ferns unknown,
eating the berries,
drinking crystal clean water
full of minerals
from the lakes and
origins of rivers and
mountain streams too.
Wisdom is the strength
guiding me
to cross this
slippery path
undaunted and fearless,

I am a poet,
a person of prophesy.
the upholder of
freedom and justice.

Beautifully written! Wisdom and beauty abound on this hazardous journey through life and that is what gets us to the end.
