Prosepoetics-7 Poem by Indira Renganathan

Prosepoetics-7

Everybody is
Beauty conscious and
After beauty parlours..
It is a personal desire
I cannot deny
Even if I feel
They're mostly awry, awful
With their tweezed look

But many parlour-goers
Be it male or female
Young or old wear
wigs to hide their
Bald or grey..
Something wrong somewhere
If mind and body are friendly
Then face should reflect
Its inner beauty
The most respectable

Your poem very beautifully summarizes the prevailing practice of going to beauty parlour, wearing wigs, dyeing hair... How unfortunate? Beauty cannot be measured by amount of hair on one's head or the degree of white complexion. We have seen some of the most exciting and great leaders who never bothered about such aids! Thanks for highlighting this widely prevalent practice, among both men and women!
