Psalm 146 Poem by Frank McEleny

Psalm 146

Do not put your trust in man
Put your trust in God alone
Sing praises to the Lord your God
Come sing before His holy throne

My hope is in the Lord my God
Maker of heaven and earth
My hope is in the Lord my God
It is only Him that I will serve

He is a Father to the fatherless
He sets the prisoners free
He feeds all those who come to Him
Who come to Him on bended knee

He opens up the yes of men
So they can clearly see
The King and all His wonderous works
The King who set them free

He watches over strangers
And lifts the lowly head
He conquers hell and darkness
He brings life to the dead

The King shall reign forever
And forever He shall be
They'll sing and worship round His throne
Of Him who set them free
