Psalm: A Plea For Grace Poem by Obute Gabriel

Psalm: A Plea For Grace

O! Precious Jehovah
Grace have I deserved not
The life I’ve lived was brought by your mercies
Forsaking all my iniquities
Turning your back on both conscious and unconscious sin that I’ve committed
Swallowing your wrath out of the love you’ve gotten for me

O! Precious Jehovah
I’ve been stripped naked by sin and have felt so ashamed to call thy name
My transgression has put me behind the light of your glory (presence)
Guiltiness was the judgment upon my head
What more do I have to ask?
What more do I have to say?

O! Precious Jehovah
The lover of my soul
The only reason I’m alive
I’ve realized that I can’t walk this journey without grace
Your help is the only option I have
A grain of your grace will be capable of putting this guilt off my head
Redemption is all I seek
The way out is what I plead

O! Precious Jehovah
The saving grace only rest on you
Abide in me O Lord
I pray thee.
