Pulchritudinous Life Poem by Rachel Butler

Pulchritudinous Life

(Dedicated to the unknown gardener)

I should be courted, I am made to be courted,
Bastille candidness, from my dovelike companion.

A lady with lady’s resolve, I esteem him,
For the sake that I esteem him.

Halt for, a thousand times good morning,
a thousand kisses transcended.

There is a directness that is quite poignant.

Wilting (An offering to the flower girl) She wants her warrant posted: made for pursuit. Prison cage security, for canary-like compatibility. Woman’s rectified femininity, she wants a warden. She has admiration for the law, character eclipse. Abrupt, she demands to be reckoned by the hour, with harsh slapped numbers, beyond the cheek. © RH Peat 1/21/2012 9: 30pm Form 3 tercets/ 9 lines/ A Parody In Response: Rachel Ann Butler, hugs and kisses for her: Burgeon
