Puppet Master Poem by Genevieve Pilat

Puppet Master

Rating: 5.0

To the grand Puppet Master, the so-called leader
Who holds power above our heads
Who controls our every moves and every thoughts
Through your deceitful and cunny threads.

I must applaud you for your manipulative ways
You have made us your own marionettes
And with a snap of your fingers we do as you desire
Whenever you sense any threats.

You want all to be everything you control
Anything else would just not do
You command those around you to follow and obey
As marionettes we must please you.

Yet I have to say, Puppet Master, your performance is done
Your act has finally gotten old
I'm tired of doing everything that you want
I'm sick of being what I'm told.

You think you can control me and snap me back straight
But that I must give a laugh
For its too late to control me, this marionette is through
It was all on your behalf.

I thank you Puppet Master for opening my eyes
And revealing your twisted means
Cause now I can see what you truly are
You can't trick me with your 'kind' scenes.

So with my courage so sharp I cut off my strings
At last I am finally free
And from now on all my thoughts and actions I do
Will be controlled by only me.
