Pure Potentiality Birth Is Silver Spoon Privilege Poem by Terence George Craddock

Pure Potentiality Birth Is Silver Spoon Privilege

human intellect at birth is not pure potentiality
already love in abundance poured out upon wanted
loved cherished fetus stacks cards favourable odds

for idiolized wanted son daughter gentleman lady
but woe is chaos reaped birth defeats sown addictions
drugs alcoholism bestows upon baby of dependency?

already attitudes indifference of unfit inapt inept parents
stains underprivileged chances actualized education is
kindness or cruelty inherient in contact first holding hands

our lives in the balance all we come to know is bred
with our first changes in this world first determination is
of hand which loves feeds blessings or is hate brutality?
