Purity In Flames Poem by Vazgen Ghazaryan

Purity In Flames

As night embraces this city of mine,
Tongues of pure fire appear in my mind,
They burn and destroy all the things that are dear,
But for some reason I cannot feel fear.

The angels of death kill with no mercy,
The souls that I knew die without glory,
Though none of us was ever free of sin,
No one quite knew how their life would end.

In all this chaos I'm the one who laughs,
In all this fury I'm the one who tries
To justify death, which we all deserved,
Lives with no meaning that couldn't be preserved.

At one brief moment I do realize,
That all the bleeding was just in my eyes,
An insane fruit of a destroyed mind,
But what if my mind was all the way right?

A city in flames is all I can see,
A soul on fire is all I can be,
But die in fire alone I will not,
In hell I shall meet every one of you lot!
