Puzzle Pieces Poem by Jean Renwick

Puzzle Pieces

Incomplete thoughts sprawl across the mind in random dejection.
Uncompromising hardness when attempting subtlety.
Dark and raw feeling permeates the body like a stain -
The bitterness is a surprise.

I am rearranged by you.

Take me in to your virgin soul.
Clean my head of anguish; fill it with strength and delight.
I would gladly raid the sun for you, or befriend the stranger, Softness
For you love me with your eyes and in your arms I’m held together.
