Queen Poem by Lily Vasquez

Queen

I am a queen
Sans the glitz
and the glam
Sans the subjects
and the castle
I only have me.
Who made me queen?
Why, I did.
And how do i get to do that?
Girl, it's easy...
I just woke up one morning
Looked in the mirror
and said:
'My name is Lily Vasquez,
and I am a Queen.'
You too, can be a queen
Just look in the mirror,
and say this aloud:
My name is (insert name here)
and I am a queen.
But that's only half of the fun
The next part is to believe it
Tell me,
Do you believe it?
