Quest

Heart like a child
pursuing Aladdin’s lamp.
And in this quest,
I have lost the spark of vitality,
And accomplished around an eclipse,
the longing to acquire Kamdhenu,
which runs deep in my soul.
And this hunt has propelled me
away from my own,
made me blameworthy
in the eyes of all.
Despite this, discontent persists,
and my flesh is ravenous
for the shade of Kalpvriksh.
And in this hunger,
I have seared my soul,
In the desert of isolation
for attaining the Chintamani stone,
adding to my longing and pains –
although the chase has removed
the diamonds of friends and relatives.
slowly and slowly.

     Hardeep sabharwal.
(Notes - kamdhenu - cow of Gods who gives anything you wish, Kalpvriksh, a tree in heaven, it fulfilles all the imagination of the person who sits under it, Chintamani stone is a wonderful stone which give anything desired by its owner.
