Was I as beautiful,
and wicked,
as you'd imagined?
Or haven't I been honest
enough?
How could I break your heart,
and be too proud to tell you?
Do your beautiful eyes see
your slow and dark demise?
Or haven't I been honest
enough?
And when I say I love you,
do you know it's not to you I speak?
Can your lips taste his kisses?
Do your arms feel his warmth?
Does your body know
it holds no claim to my own?
Or haven't I been honest
enough yet?
