Where did it go
That bright beginning

That hope of change

Who were those people
Loudly chatting
What did they say
What did they mean

Did they have thoughts
About tomorrow
Did they remember
Former things

Who are we when
The day is waning
What did we do
To further dreams

The day wears down
The light is fading
The memories
A haze of thought.
