Under a dripping grey sky Sad, soaking, shivering and wet I wanted to know why Why and why and why On that terrible day when you said goodbye On that sodding day you went away I had to walk on, forlorn.
Now years later under a metallic sky Sad, soaking shivering and hardly dry I try to remember The question and the quest and why I needed to know The answers, the answers, the replies.

very sad Rani. The excellent part about this one is that I have no idea who left, or why they left, but it gets it's pt across...you have an unresolved issue that years later still bothers you. The rain imagery was almost funeral like, very sad and poignant. |

The two stanzas are different in nature.. first where an anxiety to know why such pains occur, the second asks the same question so knows somewhere that the reply will not be there..
I find both stanzas perfect written with true feelings. |
