Quick Fix Poem by Mark Nichols

Quick Fix

By Mark Nichols & Mehnaz Hoosein

Don't make me your quick fix
I'm not your handy man
Go get your tool box
And fix yourself if you can
Don't make me your secret garden
I'm not your flower bed
You plant your seeds in me
But you got weeds in your head

You want a little friend
Who can play doctor too
You want to play hide and seek
You want me lookin for you

You got to take some time
To find yourself

Don't make me your big gulp
I'm not your fizz anymore
This drink has gone flat
My cherry pop on the floor
Don't make your boing boing
I'm not your trampoline
Your playin ping pong
You're like a jumping bean
You want a little friend
Who can play doctor too
You want to play hide and seek
You want me lookin for you

You got to take some time
To find yourself

Don't make me a classic film
A Humphry Bogart flick
She lights your cigarette
II'm not that kind of chick
Don't make me your showdog
Runnin' round the track
Your poodle-doodle doo
Just for a scooby snack

You want a little friend
Who can play doctor too
You want to play hide and seek
You want me lookin for you
You've got to take some time
To fix yourself

Go fix yourself
