Rain Poem by Taher Shemaly

Rain

And the rain dropped down
over the humble and the egoist
Thus goes the grace that sounds
so soft like a breeze with such a twist
And the music played the ballads
of old times and the sweet and the swift

O Rain of the graceful Grace of Above
fall down and clean the hearts of envy
Be it a rock, a hill, a mount or a slope
imagine when all chest's birds are set free
Sweet is the sound of the tick and tock
on the ground to become in green spree

Thus when my soul is hovering
in the mid sky before the gate
Wash the sins out of me solely
and the agonies of many a fate
And keep falling O lovely rain
from this eye, and feel no hate
