Rain Poem by Heather Marie Allens

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The rain can fall in a million drops
and tap against my window
But i can't cry a million tears
for you, you left me here alone
You tricked me, you stole me
then you broke me down
No child wants a broken toy
laying in pieces on the ground
The pieces of me love you, still now
though they've been scattered and blown
along the road we used to walk,
the road I walk still, but in the rain, alone.

I really like this piece. It flows well, and i feel it speaks true to the fact that we view places differently depending on who we are with. the significance of the road changes when you walk on it alone.

This one is superb! Good use of imagery, perfect meter, it flows well and pulls an abstract emotion into the physical relm.10/10
