Rain Poem by Luke Bushen

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The pool of water calmly waits beneath the darkened sky
Her glassy face sleeps peacefully to a silent lullaby
As black raindrops descend from their dark abode on high
Falling down like painful tears to the place where she now lies
They strike her face in numbers great, screaming a loud outcry
Turbulence runs through her body, but terror she defies
For she knows the sun will soon reach down and close again her eyes
