Rain Poem by Nick Leow

Rain

Rating: 4.8

The wind blew gently,
Across the sunlit pasture,
Where I laze gently on.

The bright azure sky,
The lush rippling field,
And the shimmering lake,
Which blend,
To form a beautiful scene.

In this peaceful world,
I slowly fell asleep,
And into a deep slumber.

As if to wake me up,
The skies
Sprinkles water right at me,
While the grass lash at me,
And the lightning flash,
Gloomily at me.

Only the wind,
Hurried me back home,
To where my comfortable bed is,
Before a torrent of rain fell,
And soothe me to sleep.

I like the picture that you have painted with your words. What.a wonderful spot to fall asleep - what a rude yet somehow pleasant awakening. Nature supplies us with many thrills and comforts.
