Rain Poem by Khaled Ehtesham

Rain

Rating: 5.0

Oh! Rains can walk, how easily! ! ! ! !
On the main street of the city,
On the top of the roof of all towers
Even on the head of us…..
How easily it can go, through
Our complex equation of life,
Its rain and rain
Wets the wall of solid stone
Wet leaves, flowers and thorn…
Wets our ground floor, wets sleeping bag
Wets earth when they hug
Only, our heart remains dry
Don't know rain can't touch it, why! ! ! ! !

Loved the enthusiasm of your poetic voice! ! ! Your words absolutely rained down in this lively poem till I felt quite wet here in my desert land! The line about the ground and the sleeping bag brought my heart down to earth- - the rain is no friend of the homeless. Even so, this poem lifted my spirits and I think, really think, my heart got wet! I must read more by you!
