Rain Dance Poem by Justin Reamer

Rain Dance

Falling from clouds of vapour,
Rain lands on the earth,
Making the rhythm of Nature's dance.
The wind blows with gale,
Playing a hollow flute,
And the trees dance in rhythm,
Whispering the lyrics to each other.

The thunder crashes in the sky,
The bass drum beating in the background,
And the animals, all instrumentalists,
Play their enchanting tunes.

Squirrels squeak like trumpets,
While frogs croak like tubas;
Songbirds sing like piccolos,
As owls hoot the clarinet.
The eagle screeches the C major scale,
As the bat plays supersonically,
And the canines and felines
Take centre stage,
Singing the melody together,
Only to end when the rain stops.
