Raindrops On The Windscreen Poem by Neo Patricia Monamodi

Raindrops On The Windscreen

The beauty of one is learnt from within their hearts
The greatness of the heart reflects on the smile
The sweetness of love tasted in their hugs
Such in one soul spell perfection that glows in style
Like raindrops on the windscreen they keep rising up
And so such souls leave not long for the world is corrupt.

We love not the sight of black clothing in rainy mornings
Nor the sound of pain in friends’ eyes and voices
Unworn clothes with only the scent to keep us lingering
We hate the sight of flowers and empty houses
But in times like these we do just what fate tells us
And Heaven rejoices at it for such perfection is now theirs.

There is perfection in a life lived short
And the warmth of these sweet smiles and hugs
The sweet taste of this beauty from you is what we got
Death knows nothing else but expertise in being a thug
Yet still we shall lay these flowers with love for you Mantimo
Knowing fate is God’s and so unknown to us all the more.

A life lived short is a life full and perfect
For it shall see not the many times of trouble and trials
A life lived short is a life young enough for Heaven
And so shall the tissues in our hands dry
Great memories shall see you grow old with us
And we shall say unto the Lord, “it is well” and ride this bus
