Rainmaker's Coat Poem by Paul Fisher

Rainmaker's Coat

The rainmaker’s coat
Masked in oblivion
Torn again, tried and true
Forever on the run

Masked in oblivion
As is the seventh son
Forever on the run
With the cellophane nun

As is the seventh sun
Whose song once sung
With the cellophane nun
Dancing and tapping our death

Whose song once sung?
Careless on the moon
Dancing and tapping our death
Pulling under the blue

Careless on the moon
Pointless as worship
Pulling under the blue
Now you’ll surely die

Pointless as worship
Buildings of man
Now you’ll surely die
Tricked by insidious lies

Buildings of man
Could get no better!
Tricked by insidious lies
Feeling cold today

Could get no better
No. I died yesterday
Feeling cold today
Forays of colorless emotion

No. I died yesterday
In loves cold arms
Forays of colorless emotion
The motion of monition moments

In loves cold arms
The rainmakers’ coat
The motion of monition moments
Torn again, tried and true
