Rainstorms Poem by David Chap Bottoms

Rainstorms

Warm water pouring
Like veins, over pale skin
Flowing against muscle

Eyes set still
Dropplets hang on lashes, and hair
Batted breath lingers

Parched lips thirst
Words and tounge dried out
Heartbeat pounds like rain

Skin soaked to bone
Body aches, as cold wind blows
Shivers and chills ripple
