Ramona Began To Sing Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Ramona Began To Sing

Ramona began to sing
In a very smooth voice
The song from Tosca

Two days ago, however
She received a letter from Pedro
In which he begged her not to leave

After their prolonged stay in Bucharest
They continued their journey through
The blue boulevard and blinking gardens

(dedicated to a great poet, Robert Bly)

The only thing I know about Tosca is that its's connected to opera. This poem is intriguing, ('scuse my spelling)
