Read Our Lips... No More Taxes' (Free Verse)

I am rather frustrated
With governor Jerry Brown
Violating my constitutional rights
By raising my DMV auto registration fees
For the rest of my life
Without putting it to a ballot vote
I believe he does not have the power
To do such a thing to us Californians
In the guise of said funds going to road repair
I believe legal precedence would be
Any California city who has imposed such taxes
For civic improvements
Vacaville, CA and its measure 'I'
Is a prime example...
Someone needs to bring a class action case
Against the state to stop said unjust tax increases
For those of us who believe we are being screwed
We pay enough taxes when we buy our gas
And our current auto registration as it is
Read our lips...' No more taxes'...
