Today I had an introduction to a man
When I saw myself in the mirror at dawn
I was frightened to see the other man
And wished it was someone else but me
Today when I saw a lotus
Blooming in the pond of mud
I no longer despised my own earth
And the soil from where I was born
Today when I saw a bud sprouting at ease
And realized how patiently the world evolves
I stopped in my mad race
And endeavored patiently with my surroundings
Today when I saw a tigress
Patiently bearing out with its naughty kittens
I stopped yelling at my kid
And let him have his childish way.
