Realization Poem by Megs Yea

Realization

Flush them down the toilet,
Your personal paradise slipping away,
36 you counted,
The math inside your head,
It finally hits you,
How are you going to survive?
What is going to happen?
Your life has been flushed down the toilet,
And as you stare into the hole to hell,
You realize that you can get through,
That you never needed it,
You could feel like you were in heaven without them.

Delete them from your phone,
From you life,
From your new happiness,
But you ask yourself,
How long will this last?
When will you need another fixx?
As you stare at the contacts to hell,
You realize that you can make your own happiness and you have,
That you never needed them.

Erase him from you,
Your life,
Your mind,
And everything else,
But you ask yourself,
Will he come back in your life?
What will happen then?
As you lie in bed thinking and pondering about your personal hell,
That you've made yourself,
Even though you were his fix and his yours,
You realize that even if he does you can fight him,
You never needed him,
That HE needed YOU.
