Reason For A Season Poem by Edgar Andrade Baguio

Reason For A Season

It was not too long ago in a row,
When we haply met in that lounge you know;
Where your eyes were pure and shining so bright,
As I gazed upon it with much delight;
I thought, there's a reason for this season,
Or it's just a season with a reason.

Then we had moved and swayed along with time,
Embracing a life like a note of chime;
Watching some boxes with moving pictures,
Cheering different good themes and features;
We thought, there's a reason for this season,
Or just another season of reason.

Time is really swift as the good book said,
That we hardly noticed when we're all sad;
Multiplied diapers, bills, things which tease,
The life we once enjoy with grace and ease;
Again, there's a reason for a season,
Or just another season of reason.

Now that an autumn sky draws very nigh,
Market stocks, human blocks went soaring high;
We were contemplating our strength at once,
Whether we had enough daughters or sons;
Yet we thought a reason for this season,
Or just another season of reason.

Finally, it's not that long when your glow,
Banished to the northern blue sky below;
Where those used to be brighter eyes of hope,
Glimmered seldom so dimly short in scope;
So we thought this reason for a season,
Or just another season of reason.

Chorus:
I thought a good reason for a season,
Thinking that it's just you as my reason;
Yes, everything there is for me to know,
To live within a borrowed time so slow;
Anyway, I'm living with your reason,
Even just a reason for a season.
