Rebirth Poem by Godwin Kavaarpuo

Rebirth

Reading into my mind
creating and recreating new things
new possibilities
old ways, new ways
same coin.
different sides
good and bad
different words for same thing.
All for nothing
or nothing else
I blame reality
digging my own casket
journeying towards the universal
mind is mind
call it chalk and cheese
kiss those geese,
pop bottles,
worship,
join the warship
delet names
call it rebirth.

married to the money
attorney or baloney
I do it like a king
change crowds
divide territories
write and rewrite histories
born fear, intimidation
adamsite clouds
mock black sheep
cut their wings
give them codeine
show them glory
milk their brains
yes,
that is the new law
reap, damp waste
codified in perpetuity
hail me

don't call me sir
call me survivor
waiting for rebirth
bloodbath, halleluiahs
join chorus,
rebirth Africa
