Rebirth Of Sodom And Gomorrah Poem by Awasum Terrence

Rebirth Of Sodom And Gomorrah

we've soiled and stained our souls
bathing again and again in pools of sin
preaching scorn n chaos like scriptures
and violated the very essence of breathing

we've gone very wild and astray
given vice a crown of gold
preaching obscenity with pride and vigor
rejected and neglected from which we came

we've let our hearts turn cold
revived and rejuvenated Sodom and Gomorrah
replaced the candy shop with sophisticated armories
willing to posterity insanity with impunity

we've worshiped n prayed to evil hovas
all fallen short of his good graces
brought the wilderness upon ourselves
watching the race to self destruct with great applause and hails

we've led our emotions into drought
grazed our kids on pastures of hate and disrespect
bestowed on earthly pleasures the worth of flesh and blood
enslaved and imprisoned love in a mask of iron

we've done all these out of greed, envy and selfishness
so compassion and fellowship have disowned us
we are now nothing but shadows and dust
we are worthless misfits and rejects
