in hospital,
waiting,
and waiting,
beside her rescuer,
she is upset that he won't say anything,
he's sitting in dark corner beside the door,

she saying to her-self,
why,
why did you save me,
you don't know what it's like,
what it's like to want to die,

he looks up,
staring at her,
then the only word to leave his lips,
were,
I do,

she was confused,
then she looks at his wrists,
there were cuts on his wrists,
he stood up,
took off his shirt,
and walked into the light,

cuts on his wrists,
neck,
chest,
back,
and his ribs,

he walked up to her,
