~red Lights~ Poem by E Nigma

~red Lights~

Rating: 5.0

Oh how she lights the sphere
The night receives virtue
Cold are the lips
Of a loved one, long gone

Dense now the atmosphere
Heavy laden with souls tied
Emotional anchors sink deep
Into depths unknown

Silent breaths are blown
Across shadowy figures
The stench clings to linger
Hard pressed against all you've known

Eyes close to the curse
Closed are the curtains remembered
Unclothed behind your smile
So far from home
