Red Ribbon Poem by Anastasia Rai

Red Ribbon

As much as I have suffered I just have to believe
in my red ribbon and where it leads me.
It leads me through the darkness and out of stormy weather.
It will find my special someone
And not far from now we will be together.
It glints red in the sunlight just to make sure I'm
following close by.
It never disappears when the moon comes out
And the stars wink goodnight.
Never ripping never tearing
a continuous ribbon that shines bright red.
My hope that ever follows,
my curiosity raging like a fire.
I wonder of my future, and what events it holds;
And in my state, I tire,
And smile at my dear ribbon's ruby folds
