Red, White, & Blue Poem by Brian Archibald

Red, White, & Blue

Rating: 5.0

A white morning, the fogs roaming the air
Red throughout my eyes, I see nothing but white
Blue lights from above, cold wind chilling my insides
With everything I am, I will withstand
Step upon step, reaching my endeavor
Crunch upon crunch, the tundra will not end
Hand upon hand, closely repel me thy granular ends
Falling tears, with white snow in the air
No one is lost forever, this blue world has succumbed
No longer stars upon stripes, no more life to set ablaze in a fiery burst of red
To the white sand reckoning among us, we bid the farewell
Without a reasoning for standing through the rain, we can no longer fall
Perched in the sky, our loved ones will die
Red, in the sky again
Blue, drained into the cold eyes we once knew
White, dying from within
Wither away, your possibilities
Kill away, your potential
Without a concept, their is no formality
Blind my whitening eyes, for I am of nothing
Strip me of my sanity, for I am of the fallen
A reasoning for living in the fog, no less a drift among the lesser lived lifes'
I'm here evermore, purity inside channeling out my sins of life
Call it a sin, their is no denying the failure within
