Redemption Poem by Kristeta von Popper

Redemption

Did I seek my redemption in you?
Or was it you who sought it in me?
In the line between two
I sought the one
Left
Undone

Believing that saving you
I saved myself
And knowing that I walked
Not blindly
Away from
The Light

Space that divides my heart in two
Revealing to me the opportunity
To seal it with the new

The scars are deep
Tenaciously they bind
That place
To thee

In my hand is the revenging blade
That can remove these tentacles
Which pull and bind

In the revealing light
I find my plight
Again I am
Two
