Redemption Poem by Chaotic Life aka Curly Mer

Redemption

One more chance,
what good will it honestly make?
Can it really make up for what's done?
Can it really cover what has been ruined?
Forgive but don't forget..
How can that be?
Isn't part of forgiving about letting it go?
Can humans honestly forgive someone if in the back of their mind
the wrong they did is still there?
And is giving the person another chance to redeem themselves
really necessary?
Must we always be given another chance to prove the goodness of our hearts?
I think
not.
